Shared Vehicles for SCAHS Tenants

Getting around without owning a vehicle is now easier for Sunshine Coast Affordable Housing Society tenants.

Through our partnership with Coast Car Co-op, eligible residents can access shared vehicles close to home, helping reduce transportation costs while providing the flexibility of having a vehicle when needed.

Available vehicles include a Toyota Prius Hybrid and a 7-passenger Dodge Grand Caravan at Shaw & O'Shea Place

Residents of Franklin Road/Harmony Lane can also access a nearby Coast Car Co-op vehicle located at Harmony Hall.

How It Works

Once you're a member, you can reserve any vehicle in the Coast Car Co-op fleet whenever you need one.

Your booking includes:

  • Fuel

  • Insurance

  • Maintenance

  • Vehicle upkeep

You simply pay for the time you use.

Current rates

  • Cars: Starting at $5/hour

  • Van or truck: Starting at $7/hour

  • Mileage: 35¢ per kilometre

Your membership gives you access to all 10 Coast Car Co-op vehicles across the Sunshine Coast.

Even better, Coast Car Co-op members also receive access to Modo, giving you access to more than 1,000 shared vehicles throughout:

Including three vehicles conveniently located at the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal, making travel on and off the Sunshine Coast even easier.
