A Soccer Tournament for Affordable Rental Housing
Join us for the 2026 Tapworks Cup on May 30-31st at Shirley Macey Park and be part of a growing tradition that builds both memories and affordable homes.
The Tapworks Cup is more than just a soccer tournament—it’s a celebration of community spirit, teamwork, and generosity in support of affordable rental housing on the Sunshine Coast. Hosted at Shirley Macey Park, the two-day event brings together players of all abilities, local businesses, and fans for a fun-filled weekend that makes a real difference.
In 2025, thanks to our partner sponsor, Tapworks Brewing, and 21 other generous sponsors, we raised over $22,000 for the Sunshine Coast Affordable Housing Society. Fourteen teams—including hometown favourites and visiting squads—took to the field, cheered on by 450 attendees . With the help of 14 volunteers, the tournament became a true community-powered success.
From soggy fields and playful bloopers to team names like Grass Stains and Smokey Stovers, the event was filled with good-natured competition and plenty of laughs. On day two, under sunnier skies, the Mixed Bag United team claimed the 2025 championship title.

1000 Strong Brings 1,000 Donors Together to Build Affordable Rental Housing on the Sunshine Coast.
With a monthly gift of $5 or more, you become part of a collective effort supporting essential workers—healthcare, education, trades, and service workers—who need stable homes close to where they work.
Together, we house 85 people today, growing to 150 by 2026, and aim to raise $200,000 to help deliver 200 affordable homes by 2030.
