We all want a safe affordable place to call home.
Sunshine Coast Affordable Housing Society (SCAHS) is dedicated to building homes, communities and connections on the Sunshine Coast.
Through development and innovation, we enable and implement housing solutions that serve the entire Sunshine Coast community.
We’ve already built over 43 rental homes for young families, seniors, and essential service workers. Our goal is to raise $200,000 to build the partnerships, resources, and expertise needed to create 200 affordable rental homes by 2030. The Sunshine Coast Affordable Housing Society (SCAHS) is a charitable non-profit organization that creates affordable rental homes for hard-working people in sectors such as healthcare, education, industry, transportation, and social services.

Beyond building homes, we’re developing programs that address the root causes of housing insecurity and create pathways toward long-term stability. We offer housing solutions and programs that strengthen community capacity, support residents, and encourage local innovation. Through Cover the Coast—a regional collaboration that unites housing partners - we lead several initiatives, including the Citizen Developer program, the Essential Service Workers Rental Registry, the Kitchen Table Collective to help seniors age in place, and the Situation Table, which brings agencies together to support individuals at high risk.
